ROMEO White Cast Marble
Romeo was an Italian chef who had a restaurant on Hamilton Island in the early days. He commissioned Foot to do a bust of him, which was Foot’s first attempt at a human face or bust. The likeness astonished Romeo so much that Foot and friend dined weekly at Romeo’s restaurant for many years after. The sculpture is available in cold cast bronze or a lacquered white cast marble, no image of the latter available at present.
