GARGOYLE Aka GAR-GIRL White Cast Marble

This Gargoyle (aka Gar-Girl) is a modernized take off on the traditional gargoyle placed on many buildings in Europe dating back for many centuries. The purpose of the gargoyle was reputedly to frighten off evil spirits.  Although this one does not appear to be frightening, the front part being very female which then morphs backwards into horns, mane, and hind legs of a lion, combined with a stern countenance, it does give the impression of a creature not to be fooled with.  One has been outside of Foots gallery on Hamilton Island for over 15 years.  It was coated with clear lacquer and has held up very well.
