MADONNA GOLD FLAKE PAINT

This is an unusual piece, but every artist has to experiment around to see what comes out.  Foot found a piece of black marble from the Whitsundays which was naturally shaped by erosion to suggest just this shape.  The result is an abstract Mother and Child, but like any abstract art, it is how the work gets the viewer to stretch his or her imagination into play that gives it the real value..

Although the original is for sale, this copy done in cast marble and painted with a gold automotive lacquer actually brings the form to the forefront.
