DOLPHIN FREE White Cast Marble

This sculpture is a life sized dolphin in the upper part, which morphs into a stylized lower part, as an alternative to the fully realistic dolphins Foot normally does. It is in fact taken from an original timber master pattern done in the early stages of the artists career, which was recently (2019) reacquired, moulded, and cast using an improved marble casting technique not available at the time of creation (1987).
It is not an easy task to get nice marbling into a piece that is 4′ high (1.2 mtr.), and which required over 100 litres of material. It is still unknown if it can be made successfully in the other coloured mediums, but so far this piece is available in the white cast marble (Feb 2020).
