MADONNA Painted Cast Marble

This is a large piece that would best be described as a very stylized or abstract Mother and Child.  The original was made from a natural piece of black marble sourced from the Whitsundays. The rock was naturally eroded to suggest the theme of this piece.  The original is outside of Foots galley on Hamilton Island, as is one of these painted reproductions. It is painted in an automotive metallic gold colour with a clear overlay.  The weight is around 150 kgs and the size is 1.4 metres high.
