EAGLE HEAD Black Cast Marble

This eagles head was inspired by the sea eagles that inhabit the Whitsunday Islands.  They are large and magnificent birds, one was even observed dragging a small goat over a cliff edge to get up airspeed for flight.  There is also another eagle in the area called wedge tails.  Foot admits that it is approaching impossible to portray a delicate creature that is designed for flight using a heavy solid material like marble, but this bust does manage to get across the expression that these birds project.
